Wow, what a great gathering of Widetrackers at Pete's Coney II,4/01/11!!
We had 23 members for fish fry dinner, either a four piece or all you can eat Cod.
Elaine and I had the 'fried perch'mmmm! Each meal came with choice of potato,
salad/coleslaw,veggie,roll/garlic toast,NO one went away hungry. This was another
showing of the 'car club that likes to drive and eat'!!
We should do this more often...

First thing I can say is'What a great show that we had this year'! It takes team work, and we as a car club showed that to all who came. I talked to several people either as swap-vendors,show car participants, or spectators all saying 'how well the show was run'! That's something that all Widetrackers members should feel 'PROUD' of. We [the D-O show committee] start early, yes in January, to organize 'our' D-O show, but this proves that starting 6 months before the show 'smooths' out the big bumps. By finding sponsors, door prizes,DJ,volunteers,advertisers,....
The swap spaces were down some this year [not sure why] But,We had more show car entries,300+spectators and things went along quite well.
This years D-O show may have been the 'best' in a long time, why you ask?
Remember, when I bought some 'umbrellas', and some members thought it was foolish,
WELL IT DIDN'T RAIN, did it!!??? ha-ha VP with the GP

I was told that there were several of you club members and their cars in a local movie that was filmed up in Flint, Mi about 2 years back. I was looking forward to see those pictures(myself and my father plus all of the other club members) but, I guess that is old news!! I am just joking with you!! I love being able to see all of the car shows and cars that myself and my son Jagger missed, keep it up!!!

Wow, what a great weekend!! The Widetrackers went to a [the]car show/cruise, and it didn't rain?? This was just another example of our 'club's participation',with 60+members/guests and their 30+ cars! I hope everyone had a good time, just as I did? The 'Chicken King'delivery was'on time'again, and very tasty too!
Congrats, to Chuck/Clarice's'64 2+2 for winning the O-P'best in show'award/jacket!
To top it off, Saturday 7pm where our 30 members and their 14 cars that went to the
Center Point Marriot. As 'guests' of the Woodward GTO Tigers c/c, for pizza/salad and a DJ.
Thanks to all Widetrackers that attended!!

First off, I would like to 'Thank' the D-O committee and all of our club members who volunteered to help put our show on. Yes, it rained [again], but we [as a club]
worked together and made the best of it! Most people at the show that I've talked to would
say to me 'you sure get a lot of club participation at your show[s]'. I'd answer 'yes WE do'!
A car show of this size CAN NOT be assembled, run and organized successfully, with only a couple of people. As the saying goes'it takes team work'. This is another reason why 'I'm proud to be a Widetracker'!!
Well, maybe next year we'll get a DRY show day?? Or the club could 'rent out' our car show date in a drought area, badly in need of rain....ha-ha signed, Jim Larson

First off I have to say John was missed I met him a few years ago and was more then happy to take time to answer any questions I had.Sometimes with the newer cars you don't get the same respect as some of the older car guys but he always made you feel like you belonged.A true car guy! Also would like to thank everyone that it takes to put on the shows!First time I took to thank because I believe that people should support the companies that take care of you.THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED!!!

Hey Widetrackers,
It was great to meet you guys at the Autorama. The Streamliner is coming along nicely and I am going to try to make it to the Dust Off event. I'll have to find some non-interstate routes since the old 455 would be huffing it with the steep gears. Hope to see you guys soon. Cheers,
